Thousands of Primary Maths Resources…
and we’re adding more!
At Big Maths, we’re committed to saving teachers valuable time, so they can focus on what they love most… teaching. Our platform offers thousands of ready-to-use, tailored primary maths resources designed to support every step of the learning journey.
Whether you’re looking for a PowerPoint for direct instruction or engaging activities for deeper learning, everything you need is just a click away. No more scrolling through generic websites or starting from scratch—Big Maths delivers focused, high-quality resources made for the classroom.
Lesson PowerPoints

We’ve created hundreds of fully editable lesson PowerPoints, ready for you to download and use in the classroom. Each presentation is designed to support high-quality maths teaching, while giving you the flexibility to customise content and deliver lessons your way.
A typical PowerPoint includes dozens of step-by-step slides, complete with prompts that encourage pupils to use their whiteboards and actively demonstrate their understanding throughout the lesson.
Teacher Notes
Often overlooked, our detailed teacher notes for every step of learning are a powerful resource. They’re designed to strengthen subject knowledge, boost confidence, and provide clear guidance to support effective maths teaching at every level.

These notes explain:
- the purpose of the step,
- what children need to remember,
- curriculum links, and more.
Repeat question sheets
We’ve created thousands of ‘Repeat’ question sheets to help children practise and reinforce new maths skills. Each sheet is paired with a corresponding answer sheet, making it easy for pupils to self-mark or take part in peer assessment, supporting long-term retention and independent learning.

Revisit question sheets

As you introduce new skills, it’s important that children continue to revisit what they’ve already learned. That’s why we’ve created hundreds of ‘Revisit’ question sheets—designed to keep prior learning fresh and secure, often including units of measure to show children that ‘It’s Nothing New’. Each sheet comes with a matching answer sheet, making it easy for pupils to self-mark or peer assess, supporting long-term retention and independent learning.
Real Life Maths
In ‘Real Life Maths’, we take the newly acquired basic skills and embed them into worded problems to increase the level of challenge and develop deeper understanding. There’s no need to worry about creating these yourself because we’ve prepared hundreds of ready-to-use question and answer sheets which are designed to bring maths to life and build real-world problem-solving skills.

Select Questions
As children become more proficient (particularly in calculation), we raise the level of challenge by introducing multi-step, worded problems that include either a ‘pre-target skill’ or ‘post-target skill’ element. These are known as our ‘Select’ questions, because pupils must identify and apply the complementary skill needed to solve the problem accurately.

Select questions are often more abstract, encouraging children to deduce, infer, and reason through their approach. This not only deepens understanding but also promotes flexible thinking.
We’ve created hundreds of Select question sheets, each with an accompanying answer sheet, ideal for independent work, paired collaboration, or small group discussion.
We have created an Acrobat PDF file which includes an example of each of the Repeat, Revisit, Real-Life Maths and Select question and answer sheets for you to review.
Connect and Challenge
As children continue their journey toward maths mastery, they begin to make meaningful connections between different skills. This is where our Connect and Challenge resources come in. These carefully designed activities focus on helping pupils combine previously learned skills to tackle more complex, multi-step problems with confidence.
To support this, we recommend using Prove It cards and questions as fast-paced, fun, oral activities. Not only do they keep learners engaged, but they also help build fluency, flexibility, and mental maths skills, key goals of the maths curriculum. As soon as the learner provides their answer, you immediately challenge them to ‘Prove It!’, then add your own twist to create a different question.

We’ve created hundreds of Connect and Challenge resources, (including our much-loved Prove It! cards). These open-ended questions encourage creative thinking, discussion, and reasoning. Because there’s not always a single right answer, these activities promote meaningful conversations around problem-solving.
Initially modelled by the teacher, these activities work brilliantly for peer learning or mentoring, where older pupils support younger ones. Whether working with you, a friend, or in small groups, children are encouraged to explain their thinking, justify their answers, and reflect on different approaches which helps to build depth, confidence, and real mathematical understanding.
