Over 15,000 resources. Ready to use on Monday.
Every lesson, every step, every year group: Lesson PowerPoints, question sheets, teacher notes, and spaced practice resources, all built into one platform. No preparation from scratch. No hunting across websites. Everything you need is already there.
Resources that are ready to teach with, not ready to adapt.
Most resource libraries require teachers to search, filter, adapt, and format before anything is ready to use. Big Maths resources are built around the exact steps in the framework. When you select the step you want to teach, you can see what’s available straight away, which may include a Lesson PowerPoint, question sheets, teacher notes, and spaced practice resources. No preparation needed.
“No more scrolling through generic websites or starting from scratch.”
Resources are also designed to work together. Repeat sheets reinforce the new skill. Revisit sheets introduce units of measure… “It’s Nothing New!”. Real Life Maths deepens understanding through worded questions. Select questions are multi-part problems which raise the challenge further still. The progression is built in, teachers don’t have to engineer it themselves.

Updated and expanded regularly
New resources are added continuously. Subscribers always have access to the latest additions at no extra cost.
Library of books, posters and more
Musical jingles, challenge sheets, reward resources, planning tools and much more, all available to subscribers in the Library area.
What’s included
Every resource type is designed for a specific purpose within your Big Maths lessons. Here’s what each one does and when you use it.
Lesson PowerPoints
Hundreds of fully editable lesson PowerPoints designed to support one or more steps of learning. Each presentation guides teachers through direct instruction with step-by-step slides, whiteboard prompts, and built-in opportunities for pupils to demonstrate their understanding.
Teachers can use them ‘as-is’ or customise to suit their class. Either way, the structure and sequencing is already done.
The Teacher Notes on each step explain:
- The purpose of the step
- What children need to remember
- Common misconceptions to watch for
- Suggested activities
- How this step connects to what came before and what comes next
Teacher Notes
Detailed teacher notes for every step of the framework. Often overlooked, these are one of the most valuable resources in Big Maths, particularly for less experienced teachers, NQTs, and non-specialists who are building their maths subject knowledge alongside their class.
Teachers who use the notes consistently report growing confidence in maths within weeks of starting Big Maths.
Spaced Practice Resources: four types, four purposes
Each question sheet type serves a specific role in the learning journey. Together they move skills from first encounter to deep, automatic fluency.
Repeat
Practise and reinforce a newly learned skill. Used immediately after teaching a step to build initial fluency. Every Repeat sheet has a matching answer sheet for self or peer marking.
Revisit
Keep prior learning fresh whilst introducing units of measure for example, demonstrating that “It’s Nothing New!”. Each comes with an answer sheet.
Real Life Maths
Take the newly acquired basic skill and embed it into worded problems. Increases the level of challenge and develops deeper understanding by placing maths in real-life contexts. Now we encourage children to answer in sentence form as well! Hundreds of sheets with answer sheets included.
Select
Multi-step, worded problems that include a pre-target or post-target skill element. Pupils must identify and apply a complementary skill to use with the target skill to solve the problem, encouraging deduction, inference, and flexible thinking. Often more abstract; ideal for extending confident learners.
Connect and Challenge
As children progress, they begin to make connections between different skills. Connect and Challenge resources, including the much-loved ‘Prove It!’ cards and PowerPoints, focus on combining previously learned skills to tackle more complex, multi-step problems.
Prove It! cards work as fast-paced oral activities. As soon as a learner answers, challenge them to prove it, then twist the question. Because there isn’t always one right answer, these activities generate meaningful mathematical conversation and build depth of understanding.
Initially adult modelled and led, Prove It! challenges are brilliant peer and mentor activities for children to enjoy flexing their fluency and mental maths skills!
Prove It! cards are ideal for:
- Warm-up activities and oral maths sessions
- Building fluency and mental agility
- Peer learning and collaborative problem-solving
- Cross-age mentoring (older pupils supporting younger)
- Small group intervention and extension work
- Generating mathematical discussion and reasoning
The Library… books, posters, jingles and more
Beyond the lesson resources, the Big Maths Library contains a wide range of supporting materials, all free to download as a subscriber.
Musical jingles
Learn Its jingles that make number facts memorable and fun. Used in classrooms across the UK to help children internalise multiplication tables and other key facts.
Planning resources
Long-term plans, medium-term plans, and curriculum mapping documents for England, Scotland, and Wales. Everything needed to plan maths across the whole school.
Reward resources
Certificates, sticker charts, and celebration materials to recognise pupil progress and personal bests. Building a positive maths culture in your school.
Books and posters
Classroom display materials, reference books, and visual aids. Some printed materials are available from the shop; downloadable versions are free to subscribers.
Challenge sheets
Additional challenge materials for pupils who are ready to go further, extension work that stays within the Big Maths framework rather than jumping ahead unprepared.
Big Maths at Home
The full home learning platform is included in every subscription at no extra cost. Pupils can practise Beat That! and access learning resources at home… same platform, same language, same approach.
Want to see the resources before you decide?
We’ve put together a sample PDF that includes an example of each resource type — Repeat, Revisit, Real Life Maths, and Select — with question and answer sheets, so you can see exactly what teachers and pupils work with.
The sample shows a small selection. The full library contains over 15,000 resources across all steps, year groups, and resource types.
What teachers say about the resources
Big Maths has provided us with clear progression across our whole school where each step is broken down into steps that children can actually understand. Since using Big Maths the children in our school are enthused and gaining confidence.Teacher, Durham, England
We achieved our highest ever results in the history of our school for this year’s SATs results, thanks to Big Maths. Almost 20% above national average.Head of Maths, London, England
As a shared headteacher of two small schools, going into our fifth year of using Big Maths, I have found it invaluable to support consistency and rigour to ensure all learners become numerate.Headteacher, Lanarkshire, Scotland
